Ballet
Ballet (Age 7 years and up) is a classical art form that is recognized for its graceful, flowing, and ethereal qualities. Students develop poise, flexibility, strength, discipline, and self-confidence in a range of classes from pre-ballet to advanced levels. Peacock School of Dance follows the Cecchetti method in association with Cecchetti Canada. The Cecchetti Method of Classical Ballet offers a complete and well-structured system of training which caters to the beginner through to the pre-professional dancer.
*It is mandatory for students enrolled in level 2 and higher to be taking at least 2 ballet classes a week, (exam class and an open class).
Below you’ll find a list of requirements for your child’s appearance for Ballet:
HAIR
Females:
Hair is to be worn in a bun.
Males:
Neat and tidy hair.
ATTIRE
No jewelry of any kind is permitted in class. Students are to come to class with a clean body suit and tights. All dancewear can be purchased from Dancewear Niagara (11 Balfour St, St. Catharines, ON). Please tell them you are with Peacock School of Dance and they will give you the proper style, colour & brand required.
